Aisti Games – ball sports for 12–16-year-olds
Aisti Games is a ball sports club where, through all kinds of balls and side games, we get to know sports such as football, goalball, showdown, basketball and even tennis, and come up with plenty of varied fun along the way. At Aisti Sport all our activities are designed so that people can take part from different starting points, including with a visual impairment. Our activities are open to everyone from fully sighted to blind, and we offer excellent "extreme" for all comers.
You can practise skating and ice hockey in our ice sessions, which you can read more about on our blind hockey page.
Aisti Sport – We all have a dream
We launched the Aisti Games project in 2021 with project funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture, which also allowed us to produce a promotional video.
Engaging, varied ball sports training across several sports
The purpose of our activities is to offer low-threshold recreational groups for young people interested in ball sports and team sports. Alongside the sports themselves, taking part happens through all kinds of fun side games and active play, developing you as a mover, as a team player and as a person — from social skills to self-esteem and body coordination. You can join us with a very low threshold, and we have equipment to lend to anyone trying a new sport for the first time.
What we play
Sports vary week to week based on what the young people want. We play with balls suited to beginners and progress through all kinds of ball games and play.
Goalball
A fast, quick-tempo Paralympic sport played with a bell ball that sharpens listening skills.
Blind football
Football played with a bell ball, including the blindfolded five-a-side version.
Showdown
A fast-paced bat game resembling air hockey, played blindfolded.
Basketball
Good contrast and a bell ball bring basketball to life.
Tennis
The ball's sound and an adjustable number of bounces make tennis accessible.
